Voluntarism and Community Impact
The Junior League of Topeka is committed to building a better community through voluntarism. Members have many opportunities to serve both in their own community on worthwhile projects and within the organization of JLT. Here are a few of the organizations that we impacted last year:

Training
Because of the depth of the training the Junior League of Topeka offers, its members are among the most effective and sought after volunteers in the community. The community benefits greatly from having JLT trained volunteers. Opportunities to attend Junior League sponsored state, regional, and national conferences and training sessions are also available to members. And, of course, the best training of all is “on-the-job” volunteer work that provides new skills for lifelong use!

Networking
Members work side-by-side, serving their community and forming lasting friendships. Networking opportunities also exist through collaborations with other community, state and national organizations.

Leadership Development
By serving on Junior League committees, members can develop core skills that transfer well into their personal and professional lives. Many Junior League members are subsequently afforded opportunities to serve on community boards and other local leadership programs.

Membership Transferability-National and International
League membership is transferable throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Mexico, thus providing members with a network in a new community.
