The following is a timeline showing the prospective membership process for the 2008-2009 year:

  • January 13th- Spring New Member Class Begins (Meet 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month)
  • August 11th- Fall New Member Class

  • General Membership Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month. New members are committed to attend all of the meetings as outlined in the new member commitment forms. The annual meeting is a required meetingĀ in April.

    Other New Member commitments include:
  • New Member Fees
  • New Member Training Classes- Attend at least seven of the eight classes.
  • Volunteer Hours- Depending upon class session this will be stated on commitment form
  • Membership Meetings- Depending upon class session this will be stated on commitment form
P5200202After completion of the course, members will have the opportunity to select a volunteer placement in League that fits their interest and schedule. Placement promotes opportunities to develop skills in leadership, event planning, marketing, publications, fundraising, and/or hands-on volunteer projects.

Many types of committees are available in JLT, including hands-on volunteer projects with Community Impact (Happy Healthy Me), Member Development, Funding Development (Merry Market ) and Leadership Development.
