Merry Market
2011 Merry Market
Merry Market is Junior League of Topeka's (JLT) annual upscale shopping event featuring more than 65 regional and national merchants. The sixth-annual Merry Market: Shop with a Purpose will be held November 18-19, 2011 at Agriculture Hall on the Expocentre Grounds in Topeka, Kansas. The objective of the 2011 Merry Market is to raise funds to fulfill Junior League of Topeka's mission of building a better community. We would like to thank the sponsors, both past and present, who helped us to raise net proceeds of over $150,000 in our first six years.
Since its founding, JLT has contributed over $1.3million to the Topeka community in the form of community projects. In addition, over $15 million in-kind services in the form of volunteer hours have been donated to improve the quality of life in the Topeka area.
Junior League of Topeka organizes fundraising events such as Merry Market in order to fulfill its mission of building a better community by developing the potential of women, improving the community, and promoting voluntarism. JLT, a nonprofit organization comprised of over 600 women, is committed to building a better community, and that means placing dollars and volunteers in the areas of most need.
